JOB TITLE:            Superintendent

REPORTS TO:     School Board

SUMMARY:

The Seaside School District is seeking a dedicated district leader to serve as Superintendent beginning July 1, 2026.

This is an exciting time to be part of the Seaside School District. In the fall of 2020 Seaside School District saw the completion of a multi-year construction project which resulted in a brand new state of the art secondary school, along with a comprehensive remodel and addition to our elementary school.  All schools are located on one campus in the east hills of Seaside, surrounded by forest and with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.  We are proud to have reached our goal to have our schools located safely outside of the tsunami inundation zone.  The District also sponsors one charter school, the Cannon Beach Academy, which serves students in grades K-5.

Our District has a history of a committed staff, with many teachers, support staff and administrators spending all or most of their career here.  Since the District’s inception in 1967, Seaside has had only five superintendents.  Our nearly 1,500 students are part of families who have specifically chosen to live here, including many families who have been in our District for multiple generations.

The Seaside School District is located on the north Oregon coast in Clatsop County Oregon.  Our district serves a large geographic area; from parts of Warrenton in the north, down to Arch Cape in the south, and out past HWY 53 to the east.

Seaside School District lives by its commitment to strengthening community, inspiring possibility, and ensuring opportunity.
