JOB TITLE: Transportation Head Secretary
REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide a variety of support services to the transportation department, such as maintaining department records, data entry, filing, and assisting in the completion of mandated reports and records.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Criminal history clearance (background check and HB 2062).
- Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and word processing software.
- Pass employment drug and alcohol assessment if required.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in a wide variety of program-specific and district-general inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties for the purpose of gathering and documenting information.
- Operate standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent software applications.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in vehicle routing maintenance.
- Assist in safety and compliance requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
- Appropriately maintains and secures confidential records and inquiries.
- Professionally represents the school and District in interactions with parents, community, staff and students.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Works a 12 month calendar, at 1.0 FTE (8 hrs/day). Based on current OSEA salary schedule and negotiated agreement, salary (code 10 – starting $20.50/hr. – $23.64/hr.) with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance and Oregon state retirement.
